Pedagogies for Social Justice Podcast
As part of the Decolonising Fashion Society, I was interviewed alongside some of my colleagues members (Melody, Sahara, Alex and Yiling) for the podcast Pedagogies for Social Justice. In conversation with host Kyra Araneta, we talked about coloniality in the context of fashion and fashion education and the work of the society itself, discussing our upbringings and academic background, and what it means for us to decolonise Fashion as a colonial discipline.
About The Decolonising Fashion Society: is a community of fashion students and creatives committed to raising questions about coloniality in the context of fashion and creating safe spaces where these conversations can be held. The society is based at Central Saint Martins, a college at the University of the Arts London.
